Starblood was first released in 2011, just after my 40 th birthday. Since then, new books have been
added, and for 2023 the three novels Starblood, Psychonaut and The Death and Resurrection Show
have been polished, edited and have gorgeous new covers courtesy of Paul Grover (AoS design).

“In a market flooded with badly written supernatural romances passed off as horror, Carmilla Voiez
is a prophet of the uncanny. Not since Clive Barker has any author mastered pure, visceral atrocity,
and yet her characters maintain an elegance and humanity that turns what could just be a blood
sport into a Shakespearean tragedy. Starblood may be the only true female horror novel in
existence, and within its pages a reader is forced at knifepoint to see the world through the eyes of
the raped, the abused, and the unloved with hateful clarity. She makes us bear witness to the
demons we ourselves create. You don’t read her books. You survive them.”

-Jef Rouner, Houston Press.

What is Starblood about?

Starblood was written during a difficult period of my life. I had given birth to my second daughter
and was struggling to bond with her while keeping some sense of my own identity at the same time.
The business I had been running (with my then husband was failing, and my marriage was on the
rocks. Star’s struggle, to discover who she is beneath the layers of what others see, was very much
my struggle too.

I was shocked and surprised by the overwhelming positive reception Starblood and Psychonaut
received. Since writing Starblood, I have read books by Thomas Ligotti, and learned that many of us
do not fit comfortably into this modern world. We flounder about, trying to find ways to fit in
without compromising what makes us who we are.
On the flip side, the message is one of self-acceptance. Even if we don’t fit in, we are still important.
We have value. Our dreams mean something, and as Lilith says in the first book: “There is no shame
in love, only completion.” I hope people can see that Lilith is not only talking about romantic love but
also love and acceptance of self and all the multi-faceted, unique and marvellous people in our lives.
Psychonaut is a story of redemption. The main characters learn ways to rise above their flaws. Star,
Satori, Lilith and Donna change in profound and positive ways, making Psychonaut an uplifting book,
especially after the pain and suffering of Starblood.

When and where can I buy the trilogy?

Starblood is currently available at Amazon, Godless, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble. It will be available
in paperback very soon.

Psychonaut is currently available at Godless. You can preorder it on Amazon for release on
November 3 rd , 2023.

The Death and Resurrection Show will be released on December 1 st , 2023.

Satori is willing to do anything for Star except let her go. When she ends their relationship,
he summons a demon to win her back, but the demon, Lilith, has other plans. When Star Falls
for Lilith, she discovers the depths of her own depravity, and they are drawn into a magical
and violent struggle for survival. Can Satori destroy Lilith before it is too late?

The first book in this horror fantasy series has bisexual protagonists and includes erotic
elements – Clive Barker’s Imajica meets Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, set in the Gothic
subculture in Britain.

Satori is in love and refuses to let a little thing like death get in the way. To save his Star, he
must face unimaginable horrors, not least of which is his true self. His rival, Freya — a rage-
filled young woman — grows more powerful and twisted, while Lilith draws each of them
inexorably towards her.

Star’s tortured and broken body awaits Satori, but does she really need him to save her?
Full of sex and magic, “Psychonaut” is an exploration into the human psyche and the second
book in Voiez’s Starblood Trilogy.

“Carmilla Voiez is more of a singer than a writer. She tells her compelling story in a hypnotic,
distinctive voice that brings her eerie world vividly to life.” Graham Masterton

The Death & Resurrection Show:

All teenagers may act like monsters, but Star and Satori’s son is an actual demon.

Angry at being abandoned, Edensun hunts down his parents. Will either of them survive the coming confrontation?

Edensun’s power attracts the attention of the gangsters and goddess cult members who pursue
him, believing he will unleash Hell on Earth. Can anyone stop him before it is too late?

Book three of the Starblood Trilogy, The Death and Resurrection Show, is an intense occult
horror with LGBTQ+ characters.
